I spent the day at Three Lily Farm today, a beautiful space where sustainable farming meets medicinal cuisine. There I learnt how to forage for chaga (it is essentially scar tissue on birch trees), perform dual herbal extraction (so you can access both the water soluble and alcohol soluble properties of chaga) and sampled a whole variety of chaga-inspired recipes.
A particular highlight was Frank's chaga chai special. A drink so packed with freshly grated nutmeg (makes you high in large quantities), macca (nature's viagra) and mesquite powder (a fertility booster) it was positively terrifying. In essence, 'get high, get it on, have a baby'.
